There's something about the fervent whine of a fire truck. It seems to scream out "Panic!". I can only imagine what it would be like to have the sirens show up on my door step. To watch everything I love being cruelly wrenched from my finger tips. Going from everything, to nothing. It's a stark reminder that everything in this entire world is temporary. Someday, everything is going to burn.
And there won't be enough water to put it out.
That's why it's important to keep myself on Fire for the only One who matters. I only get one go around, and then it's Judgment Day.
I have to try.

on truth, and good friends.
to have a friend to remind you of when to talk to God, which is all the time. to remind you who you belong to, which is God. to remind you of hope, which is found in Jesus. it is these kind of friends that i want to hold close and love dearly.
friends who keep me sharp.
friends who genuinely care.
friends who pray for each other.
