On Love, and The Bible

Love- it's a word we throw around so often. We say "I love you", "I love this", etc. But do we really understand what Love is? Love is what spoke the world into existence. Love is what made Him send His Son to climb up on that cross and die. And love should be the motivator behind every single thing that we do. Not a girlfriend/boyfriend, husband/wife love, but a brotherly love, a neighborly love. There's only one way we can do this, and that's by reading the holy word of God, the Bible.
The word Bible comes from the greek word 'biblia', meaning 'books'. So when we say 'The Bible' or 'The Holy Bible' we are actually saying 'The Books' or 'The Holy Books'. Unfortunately, many people look at it as just that; that is, just some books. But it's so much more than that. Yes, it is a book.
It's also a manual on how to live life.
It's an epic story about the struggle of Good against Evil.
It's the devine word of the Only Living God.
But more than anything, it's a love letter.

And when we begin to look at it as a love letter, it begins to change how we view it. It becomes more than a book of rules, more than a story. It becomes something personal, a way to connect with The Creator.

What else could we wish for?
